The Hydra Fund is a grassroots mutual aid project supporting abortion access in Michigan.
We work to reduce financial barriers by providing direct support for abortion care whenever possible. We also share evidence-based information to help ensure everyone has access to the options and support they need to make the decisions that are right for them.
Our Support Process
Step 1: Request Support
Fill out our confidential online form to tell us what you need.
Step 2: Get a Response
We’ll get back to you within 24–48 hours with options, information, and how we can help.
Step 3: Access Care
If you choose abortion pills by mail, we’ll cover the full cost through a trusted provider and walk you through how to order. On average, medication arrives within 5 days after ordering.
If you prefer in-clinic care, we’ll connect you with regional abortion funds that can support you.
Step 4: Ongoing Support
We’ll stay in touch throughout the process, whether it’s helping you prepare for a medication abortion and being on call throughout your abortion at home, or checking in after your clinical appointment to make sure you’re confident with your aftercare instructions. Support is always here if you want it.
